Why can Super account access Affiliate page, but not Admin
Why doesn't the Affiliate Link work? Is it because of the subdoamin?
Affiliates are websites that want to put your product on their website, for more on this see the explanation on wikipedia If a customer buys the product after clicking from an affiliate website the affiliate would get a small percentage (chosen by you), here are some of the features for affiliates on your website:
- User based tracking
- Role based tracking
- Monthly report of sales/commissions per affiliate in the admin section
- Ability to create affiliate links (both text and image)
- Product level link generation (e.g. generate a link for the actual product vs just the website), export to CSV or HTML
- Ability to add cookies so that affiliates get credit for return visits even though they didn't go through original affiliate link.

- Creating Ad banners for you website to show on other sites
Add an Affiliate
To add an Affiliate to your website the Affiliate must first have an account, either you can create the account for the Affiliate or the affiliate can create the account themselves by clicking Register (you are banned from this page as you are already registered).
To turn a user into an Affiliate (see above for more info) then:
- Go to the Users page
- Click Edit next the user you wish to add as an affiliate
- Under Roles select the "Affiliate" tick box
- Scroll to the bottom and click Submit
N.B. Don't forget to change the user commission (see below) or the affiliate will receive nothing
Commission
To change the Commission a user will receive on any products purchased from an affiliate link on their site
- Go to the user page
- Click "Edit" next to the user you wish to change the commission on
- Under Affiliate Commission Settings type the commission in the box, this is a percentage e.g. type "10" in the box for the affiliate to receive 10% of every product sold linking from their site.
- Click the Submit button
Banners
Once a user has a login, is an affiliate (see add an Affiliate above) and has a commission they can log in, go to there account page and click Affiliate Center to find the HTML to create Affiliate Banners.
Reports
To pay any affiliates you must find out how much to pay, who to pay and how to pay. To find all this information
- Go to the Users page
- Click Edit next the user you wish to find out more about
- Click "Affiliate Center"
- Click "Commissions" at the top to find out all you need to know about this customer
