Allowing comments

If you want users (with the correct permissions) to be able to comment on a page then:

  1. Go to the page/product
  2. Click "Edit" at the top
  3. Scroll down to Comment settings
  4. Select
    • Disabled - No comments are shown or allowed to be posted
    • Read only - Comments that have been posted are show, but no new comments are allowed
    • Read/Write - New comments can be written and shown

Adding Comments

To add a comment to a page/product click "Add comment" at the bottom. If the link is not at the bottom then posts cannot be made to the page/product at this time (the user doesn't have access to the comments or the page cannot be commented on

Approve Comments

Once a user has posted a comment this will not usually be shown straight away as this can lead to security issues and improper content being added to the site. The administrator must periodically check if content has been commented by:

  1. Go to the Administer page
  2. Click Comments under Content management
  3. Click "Approval queue" at the top
  4. Select the comments to approve by ticking the box on the left of the comment (many can be ticked)
  5. Select "Publish the selected comments from the pull-down list
  6. Click the Update button to finish"
